Eimear Ryan I've just implemented Carrington on my website and I love it, but I have two issues I'd love to fix:
1. How do I hide the blog title? (My header image already has the title on it.)
2. Is it possible to insert HOME alongside the other page links?

The best solution is the child theme option
1) create a Carrington child theme
2) create a specific header-default.php file where you modify anything you want
If for some reason you want to go the risky way : just modify /header/header-default.php
