Matthew Harrison I'm going to transition the Carrington blog framework into a buddypress theme. I wanted to check it to see if this a project already under development, and if there are any snags along the way that I should be aware of.
Matthew Harrison Well I tried to apply the buddypress template pack to the carrington theme, to convert it to a buddypress theme. The Buddypress plugin for some reason won't recognize the newly modified theme as a buddypress theme.
I tried this with the Carrington Blog pack and the Carrington Jam pack, both with no success. I tried multiple modifications to get it to work but nothing seemed to work. The documentation out there for wordpress to buddypress theme conversion is very limited. And it looks like I'm in over my head
I'm a designer, with limited coding skills, that is looking for a serious framework that I can get to know for the next year. Please let me know if there is a way to do this.

Matthew Harrison It works with buddy template conversion. Buddypress just doesn't recognize it. The activity stream and everything works with it. Fully functional just a warning message from buddypress.
I'll let you guys know if I run into any problems.
